Wanda Lavonne Jackson was born in 1937 and is an American singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist who had huge success in the mid-1950s and 1960s as one of the first popular female rockabilly singers and a pioneering rock and roll artist. She is known to many as the “Queen of Rockabilly” and we have a Tribute Show that gives her full recognition of this title.
Wanda mixed country music with fast-moving rockabilly, often recording them on opposite sides of a record and carved herself a niche in the annals of history! If you want a show that has you tapping your feet, singing along to recognised but maybe forgotten tunes and dancing in the aisles then this is the one for you!
